Gambia’s President makes Major Cabinet Reshuffle

President Adama Barrow today dramatically made a major cabinet reshuffle that has left Gambians grasping for answers. Among those replaced is the Vice President Fatoumatta Jallow Tambajang. She has been replaced by Ousainou Darboe leader of the United Democratic Party who was Foreign Minister until his appointed as Vice President earlier today.


Effective today, 29th June 2018, the Cabinet of the Republic of the Gambia has been reshuffled as follows:

1.  Vice President of the Republic – Hon. Ousainou Darboe
2.  Ministry of Information and Communication Infrastructure – Ebrima Sillah
3.  Ministry of Agriculture – Lamin N. Dibba
4.  Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Gambians Abroad – Momodou Tangara
5.  Ministry of Lands and Regional Government – Musa Drammeh
6.  Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration – Amadou Sanneh
7.  Ministry of Youths and Sports – Hadrammeh Sidibeh
8.  Ministry of Health and Social Welfare – Dr. Isatou Touray
9.  Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs- Not confirmed yet

Meanwhile Hon. Fatoumata Tambajang has been redeployed to the Foreign Service, while Hon. Henry Gomez is now Special Youth Adviser to the President of the Republic. Omar Jallow has been relieved.
